Book Studio TimeStudio Membership – FAQ, Terms & Policies Frequently Asking Questions
The membership is designed for local creators, e-commerce brands, agencies, and marketing teams who:
• Shoot content on a regular basis (monthly or more)
• Want a reliable studio home base instead of searching for space every time
• Are comfortable running their own camera/audio or bringing their own crew
• Want better economics and predictable access compared to one-off bookings
If you shoot only once or twice a year, our standard day rates will likely be more suitable.
Our Studio Membership is month-to-month with a 2-month minimum.
• You pay for the first month when you join.
• We ask for a minimum of 2 consecutive months, so it’s not just a one-off discount day.
• After that, it continues month-to-month until you cancel.
This keeps it flexible for you, but stable enough for us to hold time on the calendar.
Membership is billed monthly in advance (credit card, ACH, or invoice + Zelle).
• Your billing date = your start date (for example, if you join on the 10th, you renew on the 10th each month).
• Add-ons (Cyc Upgrade, gear, crew, editing, extra days) are billed per project on top of the membership fee.
You can cancel with written notice at least 30 days before your next billing date.
• There are no partial refunds for unused time in the current month.
• When you cancel, you can still use any remaining hours in that billing cycle.
Example:
If your renewal is on the 15th, send cancellation before the 15th of the prior month to avoid one more charge.
In general, no – membership hours are use-it-or-lose-it each month.
Membership is designed for consistent monthly production, not for banking hours for a big shoot six months later.
If something major comes up and you give us a heads-up before your month ends, we can sometimes roll one missed session (up to 5 hours) into the next month as a one-time courtesy. Think of it as a “grace session,” not a regular rollover program.
Not fully.
• Membership is tied to one company / brand / creator.
• You’re welcome to bring clients, guests, or collaborators into your booked sessions.
• You cannot resell or sublease your hours as studio time to other brands, agencies, or production companies.
• Agencies can use their hours to shoot for different clients, as long as everything runs through the same membership.
If another brand wants regular access, they should have their own membership.
You can book your membership sessions directly with our studio team by text or email — simple and human.
• Booking window: Members can reserve sessions up to 14 days in advance, based on availability.
(We’ve found this keeps the schedule flexible for both sides and avoids long holds that block the calendar.)
• Notice period: Please give us at least 3–5 days’ notice before your preferred date whenever possible.
This helps us plan around production bookings and ensure lighting, gear, or cyc prep if you need it.
• Minimum block: All membership sessions are booked in 5-hour blocks (half day or full day).
Setup and teardown are included in that time.
• Rescheduling:
If you need to shift your session, we’ll move it within your billing month at no charge, as long as you give us at least 72 hours’ notice.
Short-notice changes (under 72 hours) count as used time unless we can fill the slot.
We keep things personal — no online forms or auto calendars. Message us directly, and we’ll secure your session.
We get it—shoots move and clients change plans. We try to be flexible, as long as we’re not holding time no one uses.
Reschedule policy:
• 72+ hours before your session
→ You can reschedule within the same billing month at no charge, based on availability.
• Inside 72 hours
The session may be treated as used time, because it’s tough to refill the slot at the last minute.
If we do manage to rebook that time with another client, we’ll gladly move your hours to another date in the same month.
• Same-day or no-show
→ Counts as used hours with no credit.
How to reschedule:
Please text or email us with your preferred booking time and new window. We’ll send you a confirmation once the new slot is locked.
Each month you receive:
• 10 studio hours you can use as:
• 1 Full Day – one 10-hour studio day, or
• 2 Half-Days – two 5-hour sessions
• Access to:
• Podcast studio room (used as a content / podcast space, self-serve)
• Photo & content sets (brick wall, seamless backdrops, simple setups)
• Cyc wall as a background (no floor use by default)
• Basic 3-point Neewer lighting
• Basic grip (light stands, a couple of C-stands, sandbags)
• Cleaning for normal use — no extra cleaning fee on top of membership
Membership is self-serve: no cameras, lenses, crew, or editing are included unless you add them as extras.
By default, your membership covers using the cyc as a background (no floor contact, no repaint).
If you want to use the cyc as a complete stage (floor + RGB):
• Add a Member Cyc + RGB Upgrade: $200 / day
– RGB pre-lit setup (3× Aputure Nova or similar)
Whenever the floor is used and needs repainting:
• Member Repaint Fee: $100 / day of floor use
Non-members pay higher standard pricing for cyc and repaint; members always get a better cyc package.
You have two options:
Option 1 – Standard Studio Packages
Book one of our regular studio offerings at public rates:
• Full-day Cyc Studio
• E-com content days
• Video podcast packages, etc.
Your member discounts on add-ons (gear, motion control, editing, etc.) still apply.
Option 2 – Extra Member Studio Time
Add extra space-only time at member rates, for example:
• Extra Half-Day (5h, space + basic lights & grip): $750
• Extra Full-Day (10h, space + basic lights & grip): $1,500
If you use the cyc floor on these extra days, the same $200 Cyc + RGB Upgrade + $100 repaint rules apply.
(You can tweak these extra-day numbers on your rate card as needed; the structure stays the same.)
Membership is intentionally limited. We don’t want the studio feeling overbooked or competing with your own productions.
• We cap it at a small number of active members (for example, 4).
• Once those spots are taken, new applicants go onto a waitlist.
• When a spot opens, we reach out to the waitlist in order.
The idea is that as a member, you feel like you have “your” studio, not a crowded day-rate factory.
It’s like having your own studio in Irvine without the lease and overhead.
As a member, you get:
• Predictable access – you know you have 10 hours every month reserved for your brand or clients.
• Better overall economics – your effective studio rate is lower than booking ad-hoc once you’re shooting regularly.
• Less friction – the space, lights, grip, and cleaning are already set up for you; you don’t start from zero each time.
• Member pricing on the expensive stuff – Cyc + RGB, repaint, gear rentals, motion control, podcast packages, editing.
• Priority relationship – you’re not just “a random booking from the internet”; you’re part of a small group we plan the calendar around.
If content is a real part of your business, membership usually pays for itself in a couple of solid shoot days.
Yes — all members sign a Membership & Studio Use Agreement before their first session.
It outlines responsibilities, safety rules, and covers standard studio care.
General Liability Insurance
• Every member (or their company) must carry General Liability Insurance to protect against accidents or damages during use of the studio.
• You’ll need to list LOOK AD ME Studio as an Additional Insured on your COI (Certificate of Insurance).
• This is standard for all production studios — it protects both sides.
Equipment Responsibility Agreement
• For self-serve members who bring or use gear (ours or yours), we include a short Equipment Responsibility Agreement.
• It clarifies that members are responsible for any loss or damage to studio gear during use.
• If you rent our cameras, lenses, lights, or accessories, you can either:
• Use your own equipment insurance policy, or
• Pay a small replacement coverage fee (we provide this option for members who don’t carry full gear insurance).
This ensures everything is clear and fair — no surprises later.
Full Production Service Clients
If you book a full-service production through us (including crew and gear under LOOK AD ME),
We handle the insurance coverage on our side and include the insurance certificate in your production cost.
