Cyclorama Studio FAQs Frequently Asking Questions

We’re in Irvine, CA, just a few minutes from Irvine Spectrum Center and Great Park, with easy access from the 5, 405 and 133 freeways. The studio is by appointment only – all visits, tours, and shoots must be scheduled in advance to avoid interrupting other productions. You can find our full address and map on the Contact page

LOOK AD ME Studio is built for photo and video production — from small creator sessions to full commercial campaigns.

Typical projects include:
• Advertising and brand campaigns
• Product shoots and e-commerce content
• Fashion lookbooks and model tests
• Corporate video and interviews
• Social media & UGC content
• Music videos and creative promos
• Content days for marketing teams
• Creator and influencer sessions

If you’re unsure whether our studio is the right fit for your project, share your plans during a brief call — we’ll help you determine the best approach.

Yes — we offer hourly, half-day, and full-day bookings, tailored to your project's needs.
• Hourly rentals: $199/hr (4-hour minimum)
• Half-Day: 5 hours – $995
• Full-Day: 10 hours – $1,990 (includes one cyc repaint)
• Mini-Session (Small Teams): 3 hours – $597 (up to 10 people, light setups, e-commerce, or UGC content)

All setup and breakdown time must be included within your booked hours — the clock starts when you arrive and stops when you leave the studio.

Overtime applies only after 10 hours and is billed at 1.5× the base hourly rate ($299/hr).
Overtime must be approved on-site and is subject to studio availability.

Every Cyc Wall booking includes:
• L-shape white Cyc Wall, approx. 20′ W × 18′ D × 16′ H
• RGB pre-lit setup with 3× Aputure Nova 300 panels
• Standard 3-point interview lighting kit (Neewer fixtures)
• Power and basic grip points
• Lounge / seating area
• Kitchenette (coffee/kettle)
• Wardrobe area with steamer
• Wi-Fi
• Free on-site parking
• Ground-level load-in (no freight elevator)

In other words, the stage is pre-lit and ready to shoot, not just an empty white box.

The base Cyc rate does not include:
• Cameras, lenses, audio equipment
• Additional lights beyond the included Nova 300s + 3-point kit
• Production crew (DP, gaffer, AC, grip, etc.)
• Motion control robot (MOCO)
• Repaint fee for Mini-Session and Half-Day, if the floor is used
• Site representative (required only for larger crews / heavier setups)

Most of these can be added as separate equipment or crew add-ons by request.

Because the Cyc floor is part of the visual, we keep it clean and fresh for each production.
• Mini-Session & Half-Day:
Repaint is not included.
If the floor is used — talent walking, stands, heavy gear, paint, etc. — a repaint fee of $150 applies.
• Full-Day (10 hrs):
Includes one cyc repaint at the end of your shoot (normal production wear).
This is built into the Full-Day price and is one of the reasons it’s the best value if you know you’ll be on the floor.

Yes, with some rules:
• Taping:
Only use approved low-tack / paper tapes on the floor or walls. No duct tape, gaffer tape directly on painted surfaces, or adhesives that peel paint. Extra charges apply if the paint is damaged.
• Painting:
Any painting of the cyc must be approved in advance.
Additional repaint charges beyond the standard $150 may apply depending on color and coverage.
• Set builds:
Light set builds are allowed, but heavy construction, screwing into the wall, or major structural elements must be discussed ahead of time.

If you’re planning something ambitious, share your art plan during a quick call, and we’ll confirm what’s possible and what fees may apply.

We define “group size” as total people on site (crew + talent + clients):
• Mini-Session: up to 10 people
• Half-Day: up to 20 people
• Full-Day: up to 20 people (a site rep is required for 16+)

If your headcount changes after booking, additional fees or a site rep may be required. For very large or complex productions, don't hesitate to get in touch with us to discuss details.

For most brand, agency and production company bookings, we require production insurance and a Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming LOOK AD ME Studio (and, if needed, our landlord) as additional insured. This is standard practice for larger crews and higher-value shoots.

For smaller, low-risk shoots with solo photographers or creators, insurance may not be required, but you’ll still sign a studio agreement and follow our safety rules. On the discovery call, we’ll let you know clearly if your project needs a COI or not.

For direct bookings, we first issue an invoice that includes your studio rate, add-ons, and payment options.
Your requested date and time are held for 24 hours once the invoice is sent.

Payment & Deposit:
• A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking.
• The remaining 50% balance is due no later than 24 hours before your shoot (or on the day for verified returning clients).
• Payments can be made via Zelle, bank transfer, credit/debit card, or secure payment link.

Cancellations & Rescheduling:
• More than 72 hours before your booking: your deposit can be credited toward a future date within 60 days.
• Less than 72 hours before your booking: the deposit is non-refundable, as the studio and staff are already reserved.
• Same-day cancellations or no-shows: the full booking fee is charged.

Confirmation:
Your booking is officially confirmed only after the deposit is received.
Once payment is processed, you’ll receive a confirmation email and a copy of the invoice for your records.

Yes. For clients who shoot on a regular basis — for example once or twice a month — we offer studio retainer packages with preferred pricing and priority access.

A retainer can include a set number of full studio days or half-days each month, so your team always has a reliable space for campaigns, product shoots, podcasts or content days. Retainers are typically set up for a minimum of a few months and billed monthly, with clear rules around rescheduling and rollover.

If you’re planning ongoing shoots and want a better rate than one-off bookings, please mention it during the discovery call, and we’ll put together a retainer option that fits your schedule and budget.

Yes. If you need more than just the studio, we can help with:
• Director / DP / gaffer / crew
• Camera and lens packages
• Full lighting design
• Motion control robot (MOCO)
• Production management
• Post-production and delivery

If you’re planning a campaign, product launch, or content series, we can build a custom package around your goals.
